It is not about counting calories, doing cardio exercise, fab diets. But it is about understanding how the body works and what is inside our food. It is also about changing your lifestyle and mindset.

Pork!

Today's weight : 138 pounds.

This post does not lay in line with my blog's subject but I have to write and link to it here because this is so shocking!

Eating shouldn't be a threat to nature. Is it necessary to rear and slaughter that many pigs? Do we consume that much pork or does the meat end up in dustbins and landfills, feeding cockroaches and rodents? And they in turn spread germs and diseases to humans. More than enough is not a good thing here. Having slightly less than enough might be better off.

This article tells of how pigs are reared and the bio-hazards the farming methods are creating. Yes, it probably explains why the fishes are polluted too. In my opinion, such farms should be closed down and such practices banned!

Agree
I did not contribute to the environment in any good way, instead I am one of the destroyers on the Earth, but I did paused for a while upon reading and knowing this incident.
Pollution from every minor to major things are already thinning the ozone layer, causing traumatic weather changes in various country.
Although human awareness for the environment have already increase, but that is still not enough. With everyone having the "leave these to others, I can't contribute significant help anyway" mentality, how can we expect the environment to improve? We had been using up The Earth resources that was accumulated for billions of years in just thousands of years. And we used them to cause destruction to the Earth itself. How bad we are. Recycling resources maybe for a good start. Just put that very drink can after our meal into the recycle bin is a good idea. Maybe with our little effort, we can make "How bad we are" to "How bad we were" ?
Just my two cents worth of thought here.
(lets try our best not to have zombie pigs due to the bio-hazard we caused =P)
